J.K. Rowling to Drop North American Wizarding Stories March 8th

Wish you knew some more background about North American wizarding before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comes out in theaters this fall? Well, you’re in luck. Because according to Entertainment Weekly, we are now just two days away from more stories from J.K. Rowling. Prepare for Magic in North America.

The new stories will ostensibly touch on Ilvermorny, the American wizarding school that I keep misreading as Livermorny, skinwalkers (people who magically turn into animals, according to Native American legend), the Magical Congress of the United States of America, and the Salem Witch Trials. While I’m most excited to find out more about Ilvermorny, I’m also hoping that maybe these Salem Witch Trial stories will be scarier than The Witch.

These new stories will help fill in some of the North American wizarding background leading up to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne on November 18th.

So mark your calendars for March 8th at 9 A.M. ET. That’s when the first story in Magic in North America drops on Pottermore.com. While video embedding is restricted, if you’d like to watch the video that accompanied the announcement, click here.
